So me and my friends were deciding where to go to eat for dinner one night and I remembered hearing from my bf's sister that there was a nice pork burger place in Tropicana city mall called Ninja Joe. So we went. It's located on the Lower Ground floor or Tropicana City Mall. The place isn't very big. Probably can only fit about 30 people max. Decor of the place is kinda like a fast food joint-ish so nothing fancy. Don't ask me why they are called Ninja Joe or what it has to do with Ninjas or even it being Japanese. :S

Anyway, this place ONLY sells pork burgers. They have a choice of 6 different flavours - Original, Continental, Sweet & Sour, Black Pepper, Spicy, and Teriyaki.

The more pork burgers you ordered, the cheaper it would get. Check out the discount tier below. We could also order the set which comes with crinkle cut fries and a drink for an extra RM3.50. I was so excited because I LOVE crinkle cut fries (if cooked nicely). There was ONE other pork burger you could order and it this was called "The Big Boss". It only came in original flavour but it came with cheese and egg.

Anyway, there was 6 of us there first. So we ordered the 6 different flavours, all in a set. Bill came up to about RM45 (if not mistaken). When our order came, we were all very disappointed! The burger was tiny and there was only about 15 chips in each box! The burger tasted normal - nothing to shout about. The chips were bland. Think they forgot to add salt or something. :S I've never had such bad crinkle cut chips before! Speaking of chips, it's making me crave for Australia's Red Rooster's chicken salted chips from Eastwood. *drool*. Anyway, after we were done, most of my guy friends were still hungry and we had to go for a 2nd dinner! We didn't even understand why there were so many people at that place! The queue was all the way OUTSIDE of the shop!

My black pepper pork burger.

Crinkle cut chips - not even full :S

Anyway, don't think I'll be going back there again. Might as well eat like KFC or McD's. I think way more satisfying than this.

My birthday this year lasted fora bout a week thanks to my high school friends, bf, colleagues, bf's friends and uni friends! :D

Anyways, celebration started with friends from high school. Got an sms from Mun Yee asking whether anyone was up for dinner (this was for the Sunday before my b'day). So we decided to just go to Betty's in Aman Suria. We were suppose to meet up at about 8pm and at about 6ish, my friend msged me suddenly to say that she couldn't make it to celebrate my b'day with me. ROFL! Haha! So my surprise kinda died. I seriously didn't think they would celebrate early for me. Anyhow, when we got there, Betty's was closed  because they haven't tried it before but when we got there, there was a sign that said that they had to close for a coupla of days because something in the kitchen was not working properly. We ended up going to Frontera's in Jaya 1. Anyways, some photos from the night:

Chocolate banana cake! Cake no. 1 for the year.

Mun Yee & Kebs dunno thinking about what? Hehe.. :P

Me & bf =)

Lastly, group photo for the night. =)

Then, came my b'day. Bf managed to take a day off so he told me to take one too. It was a nice relaxing day. It was also like a little break for the week (since it was on a Wed). We went out, had lunch, then went to watch Ip Man (finally!) and in the morning too! When was the last time ANY of you went for a morning/afternoon show. Haha! Felt weird after that when we came out. Anyways, then walked around for a bit and ended up at home just chilling. =)

Then, it was the next day at work. I went to work as usual. Had a sudden urge of erm the No. 2 so I went to the toilet. Next thing I knew, when I got back, there was a cake sitting in front of my table with candles all lit already and almost half gone. Haha! Anyways, had to try and blow the candles off while I was standing on my chair and my boss turning me around. :P Din get any photos thought. Didn't think to bring my camera. Cake was not chocolate banana but it was similar just without the bananas in there.

Then, on Friday night. Bf said that he had made reservations for us in a Japanese restaurant in uptown. It then turned out to be another surprise party with his friends and sister! Wheee! :D Food was decent. Portions really small though. But again, didn't bring my camera so couldn't take any photos for the night. They had this voucher thing that if they ate more than RM400 worth, we could get RM200 off! Pretty good rite?! Anyway, then had my 3rd cake for the year - chocolate banana! =) They even bought me presents which I really didn't expect. So thank you very much! You know who you guys are!! :D

P/s: Will post photos of all the things I got later in 1 go.

Lastly, met up with my uni friends. Haven't seen them in the longest time! We went for dinner at a place called Ninja Joes in Tropicana City Mall (review in another blog and will try not to say much in this one - Hehe) and then the original plan was suppose to go down to KL to club since we haven't done that in a while. But after dinner, I kinda got lazy. :P I actually wanted to just go watch a movie after that but Ian really wanted to drink so we ended up in Library at The Curve. They freakin' ordered 2 flamings for me that night. I came home and pretty much ko-ed. Hadn't drank in such a long time let alone puke it all out. Haha.. Anyways, overall to sum up, good night! Really miss my clowns from Sydney! Photos from the night below (only selected few - to see all, they're on Facebook)

Mel, Wee Keat, & Me - NOT at Ninja Joes (again, story saved for next blog)

My second flaming for the night. Shared it with Ian and Nick.

The 3 drunk monkeys. Haha! Looking at this photo just reminded me of a story. Eric was drunk too! And he only had like 1 cup or something. Anyway, as we were leaving, you know the horse right in the front door of the library?? ROFL! he kept bending over trying to check out whether the horse was a male or female. Then he kept on trying to stick his fingers in the nostrils. Haha!

Now it's time for presents! I haven't taken all yet. Got a few more which I will post up next time also. Partly because I left one of them in the office. Boo! :P

First - flowers from my bf on the night we had Japanese dinner. =) First time he gave me flowers! :D :D

Thomas Sabo stuff from bf's friends!

The feather charm to commemorate your becoming part of their twisted little tribe

A devil- pig to remind you to go nuts and have fun every now and then. =)

From HL, LM, ML, MT, PC, BK, MW, and AT =)

Thanks again! :D

So here's my funny/stupid story no. 2. I think this can become a series on my blog already. Haha!

Anyways, so I got home from work. Had dinner with my mum and bf. Played with the doggies for a little. The plan was to come back to my bf's place after dinner so that I can play Civilisation 4 on his laptop while he goes and plays basketball. So after dinner, bf suggested to take a shower first before going over because by the time he gets back and sends me home, it would've been late. So I did.

So I went into the shower. Washed my face, stoned a little in there under the water, turned off the shower and came out. While wiping myself down, I realised that I did not use soap! Haha!! So, I got back in to soap myself down. :P

The End.
Saturday, 22 May 2010

So all of you know I went for my 15km run last week organised by Pacesetters and nearly died. I actually had to stop and walk for a bit because I couldn't take it. The weather was freakin hot as well! Anyways, the results are out! Obviously didn't do as well as last year but the route changed a little this year and I thought it was actually slightly harder. Haha! Maybe I'm just saying that to make myself feel better. :P Anyway, results are as below:

So, overall results were, number 79 out of 296 in my Women's open category. Number 136 out of ALL the women who took part. Unsure of how many there was this year but from the looks of it, I think more than 400 women, and number 786 out of ALL the participants.

Time was 1 hour and 47 mins.. :( BOO! but oh wells, what to do. Din even train much before this. Haih...

Wait a minute! *chup* Chot-toh-ma-teh! Just checked out my post last year and I didn't do as badly as I thought I did! Apparently I finished it in 1 hour 40 mins last year! If I did finish 5 mins before, I would have been almost at the same position as last year! Hmmm... I swore I remember finished at about 1.5 hours.. Oh wells!

Here's a simple analysis between last year and this year. Not that bad! Only a 3% increase in percentile! Hahahahaha! :D

Lastly, remembered sometime ago, I said I should take photos of my medals and see how many I can collect for the year. So here's no. 1 for 2010. Lol! honestly though, don't know how many more I'll be getting this year.. :P Thought the medal looked cool though. Can't remember how last years one looked like though..

Front of medal                                  Back of medal

The other thing that was cool this year was we could actually put a nickname on the bib the year! Thought that was quite cool - at least a step up from just the ordinary bibs. Although I don't think people actually see your nickname.

You know what would have been the coolest? If they actually embroided or plastered our name on the running top itself! Now THAT would be ideal! Hehehe.. :P I've always wanted my very own named jersey! Hehe..

Anyway, I guess I'm a happy camper since I found out I didn't do AS badly as I thought I did. Next stop, KL Marathon - Half Mara? Aiyooo.. I scared la. Let me see how first la. Cause I was really dying in this one! Haha! =)

Thursday, 20 May 2010

Okay. I lied. This post will probably not have any photos either. :P But it's most probably going to be a short and sweet post - so not much reading involved. I can, though, assure you it'll probably make you laugh - if I can tell it right.

Anyway, what was it that was so stupid I did? I was at home one night, lying on my bed and talking to my bf. Then, all of a sudden, I just remembered something that I wanted to ask/tell my sister. So I was frantically looking for my phone with both arms - lifting/shoving my blanket away, lifting up all the pillows on my bed, moving my laptop etc. Even said it out loud "where's my phone?"

After about 30 seconds, then did it only register that in my puny little brain that the phone was stuck in between my shoulder and my ear! *faint*

The End.
Monday, 17th May 2010

It's now past midnight on 16th May. I have been up officially for about 18 hours! Haha! Had to wake up this morning at bout 5.30 am for my 15km run. More about that on a different blog (hopefully - if I get to it :P) but surprisingly, I'm not as tired as I thought I would be. Maybe my nap after the run and also coffee after lunch helped. Haha!

Anyways, to sum up - pretty good weekend I have to say. Didnt get up to much but somehow felt quite relaxed. Friday night, just went out for dinner and drinks for a while and learnt how to play darts while we were out. :P Came back to my place after and turned on Friday the 13th. Now THAT was a disaster. It was like a freakin' D grade soft porn movie. Scenes of them doing it was so uncalled for plus the part where you can see her boobies hanging down and bouncing around. LOL! Somehow I found that funny. Anyway, ended the night with the One Tree Hill and Glee. Did not get to bed till about 3am!

Woke up on Saturday at about noon! Only reason I got up was because my bf called me. We were suppose to go and pick up my bibs for today, and so we did. Got some lunch, then dropped him off at ball. Wanted to go and visit my new niece but it was her feeding time so didn't get to see her. Instead, I came home and slept for another 30 mins more. ROFL! Anyways, went to pick bf up at ball. Bought some Popeye's and played some Sims. Next thing I new, I had to go home to get ready for a hen's night in Changkat. I drove there by the way! I made it there AND back. Although the ride back did take me about an hour! :S Came back early cause had to be up early today.

As for today, besides the run, we went out for dim sum with bf's friends. Then pretty muched spent the whole afternoon watching Young and Dangerous and playing Sims at the same time. Went out for dinner with my friends only to realise that they did this surprise dinner thingy. That again, is another blog for another time. But just wanna say THANKS first! Just in case I forget or don't end up blogging about it. :P So yea..

Now it's time for bed! Sorry for wordy and lengthy blog. Promise to post photos next time! =)
Wednesday, 12 May 2010

Today, I am going to be blogging about blogging. Haha! Geddit Geddit?! "Blogging about blogging"??? Hehehehehehe... Okay.. fine. I'm lame. Sorry! This is what happens when you suddenly do not feel the urge to blog nemore. Or rather, do not know what to blog about. I now have the utmost (is that even a word? and if so, is that how i spell it? respect for bloggers who managed to gather like thousands and thousands of readers per day. The amount of work it takes - to come up with stuff to blog about every other day. To take photos of everything and anything and then transfer it to your comp THEN upload it to your blog. It's alot of work! And it takes effort mind you! I always find it hard to find a topic to blog about let alone the time and the effort to do so! How la to increase readership like that! Haha!

But I guess, it's also a chicken and the egg story? When you start, you're just trying to blog about everything and anything in hopes to make your blog more interesting to gain readership and once you do advertisers will come flocking to you TELLING you what to write about. Erm, now that I've written this down, it doesn't seem so much like the chicken and the egg story. Somehow it "looked" different in my head. :P

Also, I feel that blogging is kinda like running. Once you start, you kinda get the hang of it and it kinda becomes a habit and you'll just eventually end up blogging or SOMEHOW managed to find the time to blog. I guess, the 1 week or so absence I had from blogging kinda cut my flow. Which is about the same amount of time I need for my running bug to die out of me. I have a 15 km run this weekend organised by Pacesetters and I nearly died when I woke up to run this morning. Firstly, I was almost falling asleep while sitting up until I forced myself to go. Secondly, I was dying even before I reached the 6km mark! How la to finish 15km this weekend?! Haha! I think I have to find a new hobby soon. :(

Sorry guys! Felt like I've neglected the blog abit. Been MIA for a while! Promised a funny story on Facebook about me.. but that didn't happen either! Been a hectic week. I'm officially an auntie x2!! Sister gave birth last weds! Anyway, took leave on Friday so was trying to clear stuff off first before going off as well! And now, I'm in the midst of packing for a company team building trip which I am procrastinating by the way. Just realised I really don't like packing! Haha!

Will try and update more when I get back!

Unsure If I have blogged about this place before or not. But even if I did, it was before I started actually labeling my blog. Because I went back to past "Food" blogs and this place did not show. So here I am. :P

For the char siew lovers, this place is a must try. Because once you go there, no other char siew tastes the same. As per the blog name, the place is called Famous Seremban Favourites. It is situated in the middle of the Aman Suria shops. Place is nothing fancy - just the normal chinese coffee shop like. My cousin took me and my family there for the first time and I have been back there on and off every since. This time, I went with my friends who just decided to go there for brunch.

For those who don't know, one of the more famous Seremban favourites is the Hakka Mee in the market. Unsure about the Char Siew though. Think it might just be an add on to this outlet. Anyway, this place specialises in the Hakka Mee (or at least try too - the real Seremban one is SOOO much nicer though but their's still not bad la). BUT, they do have another speciality - goes without saying - the char siew! *drool*

Hmmm.. picture a bit dark. But check out all the char siew! They will be gone by about 1pm! Haha!

Anyhow, there was 6 of us. Ordered 5 bowls of mediums and 1 small hakka noodles and 7 servings of the char siew? Am not too sure because my friends did the ordering because I got there slightly late. Oh, there was also 2 bowls of wan ton. Drinks for everyone as well. Bill came up to about RM90? About RM15 per person for noodles and char siew. Slightly on the pricey end but the char siew is seriously damn nice. Not like we go there often la. Once in a while then ok lor I guess. If not mistaken, 1 serving of char siew is about RM5. Noodles, am not too sure. Oh! Haha! I tapau-ed another 4 packets of noodles and 4 servings of char siew home for me family as well!

Anyway, more photos below in hope to get you guys drooling as well.. :P

Hakka Mee

One out of 3 plates of the char siew we ordered

Haha! My friend Nick trying to give an orgasmic face when eating the char siew. Photo a bit blur though.

Has anyone seen Iron Man 2 yet? Haha! I was one of the few lucky ones that managed to get a preview screening on Wednesday night (28 April 2010)! Movie was in Signature, Gardens. LG even provided us with pop corn and drinks!

Think shall keep this short and simple because I'm sure alot of people out there still want to watch it. So, am not going to spoil it for you guys. However, please stay back after the credits! Apparently there was a short scene at the end (like the first one) which me and bf didn't manage to catch! Overall though, I think I still prefer the first one. I thought this was one a little dragged out. Still cool though! :P
