Forgot to feature 1 more doggie in my previous post. So, here she is!

Name: Mikki
Age: 4 years
Weight: 30kg
Breed: Rottweiler
Owner: My bf's and family
Hobby: Going around barking at people who come to house so that they will pat her. Singing to the daily prayers. (WISHED I could get a video or that to show people!)
Personality: Loud but think she's still tiny and a puppy
Picture Taken: Just on a random day while I was at my bf's place.

She might look huge and might sound loud. But deep down she's just a scared little puppy who just wants to be pat on the head! Haha! She'll actually come and rest her head when you're on the bed so that you can pat her. Hehe! Quite cute la she. She doesn't let anybody cut her nails though. Apparently bf took her to the vet once and there 2 huge men who couldn't even pin her down and cut her nails.

*Spoiler alert - don't continue reading if you're intending to watchi this movie*

Not sure if anyone of you have heard about this show - it's called Hachiko - A Dog's Tale. Me and bf watched it last night and I ended up bawling my eyes out. :( The movie wasn't really good actually but the story was really touching - if that is even possible. Haha! It was based on a true story which happened in the 1920's in Japan.

It was about a dog called Hachi (don't know where the "ko" came from because the WHOLE movie, he was known as Hachi) Anyway, as I was saying, the movie is about him (Hachi) and how he got lost and ended up on a train station. Someone found him and decided to adopt him. When he grew older, he would always walk the owner to the train station as he was going to work and everyday without fail, he would be waiting for the owner to finish work and come home at that exact train station. The pair continued their routine for a coupla years. One day, the owner suffered a heart attack. He died and never returned to the train station.

However, Hachi never stopped waiting. The owners daughter took him away to live with her but he would escape at all costs to try and get back to the exact train station to wait for him to come back. :( This went on for another 9 years that even the people who frequented the train station so often recognised him and helped with taking care of him (ie. food, water etc). Eventually of course, he died waiting at the train station. Today, they even have a satue of Hachi outside the train station in memory of him.

Can you believe it? Such a loyal dog! I cried so badly and my bf is going to kill me when he reads this but he was teary eyed too! =P

A picture of the real Hachiko. The breed is called Akita.

Poster of the movie

A photo of the Hachi in the movie. Look at him! Hoow can you resist that face. Haha!

Allow me to introduce the contestants!

Contestant No. 1: Bubbles Lim

Breed: Maltese
Age: 10 years this year
Nickname: Poochi, Old Lady, Babuji

Weight: 5kg

Don't let her old age, tiny and cute appearance fool you. This little creature is opinionated and territorial and a feisty little thing that is not scared of picking at bigger dogs or humans that enter her area.

Contestant No. 2: Cookie Lim

Breed: Terrier mix
Age: should be 1 year this year
Weight: 8 - 10kg

This cheeky little fella is a runner. She can run like a fox and move around like weasel. She's terribly scared of people and will run the other direction when you come at her.

Who do you think will come out the champion? Will it be contestant no. 1 or no. 2? Will it be the old feisty but smaller dog or the fast, younger but scared of people dog.

So here's the story of how the battle started.

One starry starry night, after coming home from dinner with my family, we came in into our driveway and we found a doggie in the house. A dog who now goes by the name Cookie. She looked lost and was and was terrified of people. She would run away when anyone tried to go near her. Our 10 year old Maltese saw her and started getting territorial. She went up to her and then everything started. Bubbles challenged her to a duel. I managed to get a video of the exciting fight between them.

Who do you think came out the winner? Scroll down to see the results.

Disclaimer:
1. All photos are thanks to my sister. You may read more about her blog here.
2. This story is all fictional and that is not how we found her.
3. There were no dogs that were harmed for the publication of this post.
4. Am talking rubbish so that I can post the photo lower and have a more dramatic effect to the post. :P
5. For those who don't know, they were not really fighting - just merely playing with each other.

And tadah! The winner has emerged. Cookie has been pinned to the ground. Bubbles emerges as the champion dog fighter!

Haha! Lame? I know.. sorry la.. I was bored. My measly attempts at trying to write a story. Obviously I failed muchly. :P

I can't believe my sister is blogging more than me! Haha! So I better get my ass moving and start blogging too eh?! Haha! So what's been up? This has been up:

We've been trying to find a home for this cute little thing which my maid brought home about maybe 2 weeks ago now. She apparently got it from her friend. Had been trying to get more info as to how, when, why they got her but her story was always unclear. Her name has changed from Siti, to Cookie, to Brownie, to Lucky, to now my maid calls her Cookie Brown. LOL.

When she first came, she was very timid, afraid of people, accept Fina, most probs because she was the one that fed her. However, after staying with her for a while, she's gotten better with people. She's also the only dog that can play Gracie. She doesn't mind getting squashed a little by Gracie's huge paws and she actually even tries to take a stab back at her!

Think my sister did a good job blogging about her progress, so will leave you with links to her write-ups:

1. Doggie Looking for Home
2. Doggie Looking for Home Part 2
3. Doggie Adoption Update

Think sister has added quite a few photos of her in her post already but for if anyone is interested, there's an album on Facebook that has her photos. Not sure if you'll be able to see it if you're not my sister's friend.

At one point, my maid's friend actually came to take her home because my dad did not want to keep her. But her friend said that she was going to take her back and just let her loose! How cruel! You can't just let a dog go loose! They'll die out there with all the cars! Plus, this doggie is actually quite smart. After only a few days, she already knows how to go out and come back to my house on her own! Although, whenever she does that, it gives me a heart attack because I'm always scared that she'll get run over by a car. My maid begs to differ. She says that she's smart and fast and will be able to run away from the cars. :S Anyways, then my dad's friend wanted to take her. My dad's friend doesn't actually have a good track record in the house. Most of us do not like him because of what he did to my dad before. Plus, looking at him now, we do not think he's capable of taking care of himself let alone a dog! So, we or rather I did not allow him to take it home.

Anyway, is anyone else interested?? Do let me know if anyone is! We've gotten her used to human contact and is getting better now! :D
