Was at work today and it was friend's birthday. Started to ask her how she was going on celebrating her b'day and how she should have taken a day off just to rest and relax and not be at work. Friend went on to say that she felt old and for some strange reason, I always thought that she was younger than me. What follows would be best told in a dialougue format to make sure I captured the essence of the conversation right.

Liyen: Har? Old? How old are you? I think I'm older than you!
Friend: I'm 26. You?
Liyen: Oh, 26 this year? I'm 25 this year. Means you're older than me.
Friend: Oh.. so born in 1986?
Liyen: No.... 1985! Wait! OMFG! does that men i'm 26 too?! OMG!! WTF!

29th April 2011 - what an exciting day for everyone!

First it was the Royal Wedding. I even knew people who purposely took days off just to watch the Royal wedding. I guess it is quite exciting. Just trying to imagine myself as Kate. What are the chances of you getting married into royalty!

Second - iPad2 launch in Malaysia! Again, I knew of people who made their husbands go line up in front of the shop so that they could get the iPad2! I don't blame them. It's so sexayyy and nice!

Last but not least?! Maroon 5 concert! Just got back from it actually. Pretty good I must say! Will blog more about it with pictures and video to show!

Can you imagine if a person did all 3 of the above! It would have been a super long day for them!

I know this is late - blogging about last Sunday but better late than never? Hehe! Anyways, made my bf take me to Pavilion last weekend cause I was kinda sick of the malls around my area. We hardly go down to KL so I took this as a special day out for me - it was a big day with big shoes to fill! So corny right? :P Only said that cause I wanted to post these photos below :P


Found this shoe in a super hero shop which sells RM100++ t-shirts even for kids! Anyways, check out how big the shoe is compared to my feet!

Once we got to Pavi, we got some lunch at Ben's which is on the 6th/top floor of Pavi. This place was apparently opened by the same guys who did Delicious.



Our food. We ordered the mac and cheese and also the cheeseburger. Burger was yummy with a nice onion sauce on the the top. For those who have tried the burger in Plan B, me and bf felt that this place was much better. Mac & cheese was good too. But to be honest, I have never had it before in my life. So according to bf (who used to stay in the US and where Mac & Cheese is quite normal), it was quite good. Although, thought it was quite jelak towards the end - it was baked with 3 types of cheese!

About 2 weeks ago, on a Thursday, dad suddenly decided to uproot the whole family to go to Penang during the weekend for my grandma's birthday. I was actually kinda lazy to go cause if we went, it was going to be only for a day (ie. fly in Sat and come back on Sun). Anyway, decided to go anyway, which was a good thing because it turned out that my my grandmother was turning 90! Something my dad forgot to mention! Yes yes - I know, I guess I should have gone anyway even if she wasn't turning 90 but hey! 90 is a good age! And that deserve celebrating!

Anyhow, we flew down by Firefly. Was kinda surprised with them and their timing actually. Have heard many stories that actually delayed a flight for more than 12 hours before! But when we went, our flight took off on the dot. But when we came back, flight was actually delayed for 30 mins, but yet, we still managed to arrive about 10mins later than original. So ya!

Anyway, this was actually going to be my first time on a Firefly airplane so I was kinda excited to see the propellers! So, as jakun as I am, I HAD to take some photos as I was walking to the plane. :P



The flight there was terrible! I don't know if it was because it was a really misty day or what. But I swear, at 1 point, I really thought the plane was going to crash! *choi choi*. Shouldn't be saying things like this! The turbulence was just terrible! And when we landed? Oh emmm efff geee... :S

Nothing happened to us of course, if not I wouldn't have been able to eat / take pictures of the delicious char kuey teow below. Both taken from 2 different places. Don't ask me how to get there because I wouldn't have a clue. Had 2 meals (not including grandma's dinner) and I had char kuey teow for both. I don't know why, but somehow Penang manages to cook the yummiest char kuey teow eva! It just taste so different to the one in KL!

P/s: Sorry, it's past midnight and I had forgot to rotate the photo beforehand and am kinda lazy to do so now. :P

Bro and dad had a gala time, they pretty much ordered like an extra serving each meal to go around and share. Above is a photo of Hokkien mee. Also pretty good if you asked me. Need to make eating trips down to Penang more often! Hehehe..

It's been almost a month of not blogging AGAIN! Sorry... :(

After I came back from Australia I was just having post holiday syndrome and after that, worked just picked up like nobody's business!

Anyways, here I am. Back again! Just a short one to kick it off. Did you know...

That there is this place is Austria called "Fucking"? Don't believe me? Click the link! It's even on Wikipedia.

Was out for yum cha yesterday with my bf's friends and they told me about it. It's tiny ass town in Austria with a population of only 104 people. Surprising isn't it? You would think with a town name like that - you'd have more people in it? :P

Anyway - their town signage is the most popular visitor attraction and is also the most stolen by souvenir hunting tourists. This apprently is the only crime in the town as well. Each stolen sign is actually costs 300 Euros to replace!

Can anybody tell the difference between the 2 bottles?  Bought them from the Shell station in Damansara Heights opposite the Manulife building. Bf was pumping petrol and saw that they had a promotion of buy 2 for RM4.00. Bf thought it was quite cheap and since I liked the drink, he went and bought 2 bottles when he was paying at the counter.

But anyways, back to the bottles - I kid you not, it's not cause of the sunlight or whatever excuse you can think of. The colours of the drink in the 2 bottles were different! We then did a taste test on them to see if there was any difference at all.

The left bottle (darker colour) had slight more tea taste hence taking away some of the sweetness in the drink. The right bottle (lighter colour) on the other hand had just tasted more like sugar water. They were both from different batches I think because the expiry dates on them were different. Someone in the plant must have forgotten to put an extra shot of tea in the right bottle or something. :P

Short and sweet one because I know if I don't blog about it now. I'll never do it.

Was in the car on the way to meet my family for dinner. Bf picked me up from work cause he took half a day off. He was texting/working in the car still though. Out of a sudden, he asked how do you spell "outlet". So I spelt it for him:

I knew straight up what was happening - he was using predictor text on his Nokia phone and the word "outlet" was not getting picked up. He then continue to ask whats a "moulet"

I proudly said it's a "mou lei" (think canto) with a mullet!

Hahahahahaha!!! I cracked up laughing and in fact am still laughing at myself. :P I dunno.. maybe I was just high that time.. :P

For those who don't understand "mou lei"? Well - I can't really explain to you also. So help anyone who is reading this? :P

P/s: Other random fact? I'm hungry and it's 12.40am now. :(

Getting sick! Sore throat hurts like a b*tch! Can't get sick! Heading off to Korea next week!

Woah.. First I don't blog for like weeks and now I've been doing it 4 days in a row?! Got to be some record. :P

Anyhow, just a short one before I head out for the night. During lunch today I went to get myself some lunch. Tapao-ed nasi lemak from this orange van in front of our building which happens to also be in front of 7-11. Decided to get a drink from 7-11 and so I walked in. Got my drink and back to my office building. Halfway through, it suddenly dawned on me that I hadn't paid for my drink! I quickly scuttled my way back to 7-11, worried that someone in there might suddenly realise and call the guards after me.

Once I got in, trying to not look like an idiot and head straight for the cashier (because that would look so dodge - bringing a can from OUTSIDE). I pretended to take a walk around 7-11 and THEN head for the cashier. ROFL.

Haha! Was too engrossed in what I was thinking about that I totally forgot to pay! Haha! Luckily I didn't get caught. :P

I did it again. Yesterday morning, after my run, I got home and my mum was still at home. She then told me that she had to send me to work instead of my dad/driver because dad had to go to the airport. Instinctively, I started to rush through getting ready because my mum usually leaves the house at 6.45am just to get to work!! And her being home meant that she was late for work, had to send me to work and go through jam - yadah yadah yadah.. which would lead to her being unhappy. And trust me, nobody wants to piss off my mum. LOL!

So anyways, I went straight up to take a shower (usually I would procrastinate in front of my computer while I kinda cooled down). After shampoo-ing my hair, I reached out for the liquid soup and plasted the 'dop' of liquid soup which I had pressed out onto my hair. It was only after 2 seconds, did I realise that I was meant to either take the conditioner and do that.. OR use the liquid soup for my body. I quickly washed it off and did it the right way. :P

Just a short one. Remember the time when I blogged about Salt here? Haha.. well, I have something which I kinda (sorta) came up with myself.. :P

Me and bf went DVD shopping last weekend in SS2. The dudes there are always introducing shows to us (obviously to get a sale). So he was like randomly calling movie titles out,

The Killers,
Green Zone,
The Orphan,
etc. (btw, these titles are not exactly what the dude named)

And then he finally cam to "Salt". Then bf answered, "yea, we watchd it" but I immediately blasted out (in cantonese), "mhm gao wu jiu funn!"

Haha! so so?! Who's do you thinks is better? No dout, bf came up with the concept of it but I though saying it in cantonese was a whole different ball game. It even sounds funnier than his "not enough pepper". :P

Had just taken a shower, brushed my teeth, dried myself up and was going to change in to my work clothes. The next thing I knew, I was still walking around in my room in my pyjamas! Haha!

Gonna keep this short and sweet because I actually have to try and finish up some work. So anyways, bf managed to score us some tickets to Knight and Day (review to come in different blog) in  e@thecurve. So after work, we headed over. Once we got to the parking lot, P1 was kinda full so he decided to go down to P2 instead. It was kinda empty - so yay! Can park anywhere he wanted (which was close to the entrance). So, he found a park he like and slot himself in. When we got down, he was looking back at the car funny and I was wondering what the hell he was looking at. I turned around and realised he parked at a NON parking lot! LOL! It was actually a LANE to get through the parking area. There was an ARROW underneath his car saying that users can either turn left or right. ROFL! Hahahaha!

So here's my funny/stupid story no. 2. I think this can become a series on my blog already. Haha!

Anyways, so I got home from work. Had dinner with my mum and bf. Played with the doggies for a little. The plan was to come back to my bf's place after dinner so that I can play Civilisation 4 on his laptop while he goes and plays basketball. So after dinner, bf suggested to take a shower first before going over because by the time he gets back and sends me home, it would've been late. So I did.

So I went into the shower. Washed my face, stoned a little in there under the water, turned off the shower and came out. While wiping myself down, I realised that I did not use soap! Haha!! So, I got back in to soap myself down. :P

Okay. I lied. This post will probably not have any photos either. :P But it's most probably going to be a short and sweet post - so not much reading involved. I can, though, assure you it'll probably make you laugh - if I can tell it right.

Anyway, what was it that was so stupid I did? I was at home one night, lying on my bed and talking to my bf. Then, all of a sudden, I just remembered something that I wanted to ask/tell my sister. So I was frantically looking for my phone with both arms - lifting/shoving my blanket away, lifting up all the pillows on my bed, moving my laptop etc. Even said it out loud "where's my phone?"

After about 30 seconds, then did it only register that in my puny little brain that the phone was stuck in between my shoulder and my ear! *faint*

It's now past midnight on 16th May. I have been up officially for about 18 hours! Haha! Had to wake up this morning at bout 5.30 am for my 15km run. More about that on a different blog (hopefully - if I get to it :P) but surprisingly, I'm not as tired as I thought I would be. Maybe my nap after the run and also coffee after lunch helped. Haha!

Anyways, to sum up - pretty good weekend I have to say. Didnt get up to much but somehow felt quite relaxed. Friday night, just went out for dinner and drinks for a while and learnt how to play darts while we were out. :P Came back to my place after and turned on Friday the 13th. Now THAT was a disaster. It was like a freakin' D grade soft porn movie. Scenes of them doing it was so uncalled for plus the part where you can see her boobies hanging down and bouncing around. LOL! Somehow I found that funny. Anyway, ended the night with the One Tree Hill and Glee. Did not get to bed till about 3am!

Woke up on Saturday at about noon! Only reason I got up was because my bf called me. We were suppose to go and pick up my bibs for today, and so we did. Got some lunch, then dropped him off at ball. Wanted to go and visit my new niece but it was her feeding time so didn't get to see her. Instead, I came home and slept for another 30 mins more. ROFL! Anyways, went to pick bf up at ball. Bought some Popeye's and played some Sims. Next thing I new, I had to go home to get ready for a hen's night in Changkat. I drove there by the way! I made it there AND back. Although the ride back did take me about an hour! :S Came back early cause had to be up early today.

As for today, besides the run, we went out for dim sum with bf's friends. Then pretty muched spent the whole afternoon watching Young and Dangerous and playing Sims at the same time. Went out for dinner with my friends only to realise that they did this surprise dinner thingy. That again, is another blog for another time. But just wanna say THANKS first! Just in case I forget or don't end up blogging about it. :P So yea..

Now it's time for bed! Sorry for wordy and lengthy blog. Promise to post photos next time! =)

Today, I am going to be blogging about blogging. Haha! Geddit Geddit?! "Blogging about blogging"??? Hehehehehehe... Okay.. fine. I'm lame. Sorry! This is what happens when you suddenly do not feel the urge to blog nemore. Or rather, do not know what to blog about. I now have the utmost (is that even a word? and if so, is that how i spell it? respect for bloggers who managed to gather like thousands and thousands of readers per day. The amount of work it takes - to come up with stuff to blog about every other day. To take photos of everything and anything and then transfer it to your comp THEN upload it to your blog. It's alot of work! And it takes effort mind you! I always find it hard to find a topic to blog about let alone the time and the effort to do so! How la to increase readership like that! Haha!

But I guess, it's also a chicken and the egg story? When you start, you're just trying to blog about everything and anything in hopes to make your blog more interesting to gain readership and once you do advertisers will come flocking to you TELLING you what to write about. Erm, now that I've written this down, it doesn't seem so much like the chicken and the egg story. Somehow it "looked" different in my head. :P

Also, I feel that blogging is kinda like running. Once you start, you kinda get the hang of it and it kinda becomes a habit and you'll just eventually end up blogging or SOMEHOW managed to find the time to blog. I guess, the 1 week or so absence I had from blogging kinda cut my flow. Which is about the same amount of time I need for my running bug to die out of me. I have a 15 km run this weekend organised by Pacesetters and I nearly died when I woke up to run this morning. Firstly, I was almost falling asleep while sitting up until I forced myself to go. Secondly, I was dying even before I reached the 6km mark! How la to finish 15km this weekend?! Haha! I think I have to find a new hobby soon. :(

Sorry guys! Felt like I've neglected the blog abit. Been MIA for a while! Promised a funny story on Facebook about me.. but that didn't happen either! Been a hectic week. I'm officially an auntie x2!! Sister gave birth last weds! Anyway, took leave on Friday so was trying to clear stuff off first before going off as well! And now, I'm in the midst of packing for a company team building trip which I am procrastinating by the way. Just realised I really don't like packing! Haha!
